English law will govern this agreement between you ‘the client’ and us ‘The Business Growth Show’ and any disputes will be dealt with through the English legal system and H.M.Courts.

This contract comes into force once the client places an order and an agreement has been made between the client and the sales executive. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all participants involved in the exhibition/sponsorship package are aware of the terms and conditions. Corkscrew Events is a limited company registered in England. Company Number is 5471721.
Making a booking:
To make a booking the client and any other participants must be aged 18 years or over. Bookings can be taken by telephone or in person. The acceptance of a booking by The Business Growth Show implies recognition of the terms and conditions by the client. Separate terms and conditions as outlined below cover each element of the client’s sponsorship or exhibitor package.
Bookings are valid once the agreed package has been confirmed in writing via a contractual email from the Business Growth Show or the client has signed the contract. The Client must ensure that they are aware of all event details including set up times and the size of the allocated exhibition space. The contact that submits a booking certifies that he or she is authorized to agree the booking terms and conditions on behalf of the company.
The client must ensure that the size of the exhibition space adheres to the agreement set out when the space was confirmed. If the exhibition stand exceeds the size of the agreed purchase, additional charges will be incurred. External power and Internet are supplied by the venue and therefore the venue’s terms and conditions apply.
Making a payment:
Full payment is required within 14 days of the invoice date unless stated otherwise.
A customer invoice will be forwarded to the client within 5 working days from the confirmation of the booking.
This invoice will detail the package purchased and the total price including any VAT.
Standing Orders/Direct Debits may be arranged on products invoiced over £1500 (minimum payment £500 per month to be paid by the client) and made payable on the 1st of each month.
Late payment or failure to pay:
If payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date, late payment will incur interest at 2.5% per annum above HSBC base rate, which will be charged on the standard fee rate thereafter.
The Business Growth Show may cancel the exhibition space or sponsorship package if a promised payment is not received before the event and the client must agree to pay cancellation fees if the Business Growth Show does not receive payment from the client by the due dates. Interest charges can be invoiced if payment is not received according to The Business Growth Show terms and conditions.

Payment outstanding beyond The Business Growth Show’s normal credit terms:
Any account outstanding beyond The Business Growth Show’s credit terms of reference will be passed out of hand to the Debt Collection Agency and will be subject to a surcharge of 15% plus administration charges of the total outstanding to cover the cost incurred; such accounts will also be subject to other costs incurred in obtaining settlement.
Cancellations:
If the client wishes to cancel any part of the booking, the client should advise the Business Growth Show immediately by telephone. The Business Growth Show requires 14 days written notice for cancellation from date of invoice.
If the client chooses to cancel, the Business Growth Show will not refund any deposits that have been made up to 50% of the total fee. Also, the client must agree to pay cancellation charges, in accordance with the following terms:
• Up to 14 days of invoice date = no charge
• Over 60 days prior to the confirmed event = 50% of the full amount invoiced for the event will be charged
• 31 – 60 days prior to the confirmed event = 75% of the full amount invoiced for the event will be charged
• Less than 30 days prior to the confirmed event = 100% of the full amount invoiced for the event will be charged
• If the booking is made within 30 days of the event, a minimum of 50% non refundable deposit will be required.
• Non-payment shall incur a £150.00 late payment (see above) and administration charge.
Cancellation of standing orders/direct debits: If the standing order/direct debit is cancelled at anytime, the client agrees to pay any outstanding amount owed on the invoice at the end of that calendar month.
Failure to do so will result on legal action.
Amendments:
If the circumstance arises where the client cannot attend the event for reasons beyond the client’s control, the Business Growth Show will endeavour to accommodate any reasonable request. For example, if the client wishes to hold the confirmed exhibition space/sponsorship package at another Business Growth Show, the availability of space and cost will need to be valued, and additional costs may be incurred. If The Business Growth Show is cancelled or amendments are made due to circumstances beyond control, a replacement will be sought immediately.
Insurance & Disclaimers:
Every exhibitor, contractor, supplier and agent must act in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its subordinate legislation. The client must accept that it is their legal and moral duty to ensure that theirs and others’ health and safety is not put at risk by their actions or the actions of an employee or external support.
The Business Growth Show will perform a risk assessment for each event. The client must ensure that they obtain their own insurance cover for the confirmed event. The Business Growth Show endeavours to work with reliable and trust worthy third party organisations that manage and supervise their activities to the highest safety standards. We confirm to the best of our knowledge that all third parties involved in the Business Growth Show hold relevant safety and insurance policies.
Health & Safety:
The Business Growth Show requires a basic level of fitness, strength and endurance for example due to transporting equipment and the length of time that exhibitors’ may be standing. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all participants have the appropriate level of fitness required. The Business Growth Show is happy to accommodate any participant with individual requirements (ie; wheelchair access).
The Business Growth Show aim to meet minimum requirements set out by the disability rights commission and the disability discrimination act 2005, however, due to various affiliations with third party companies, The Business Growth Show cannot be held responsible for any facilities that are not made available by any third party and any additional requirements that could be termed as specialist help are required to be met by the individual including costs. All participants must adhere to the rules and regulations of the venues. The client must inform the Business Growth Show of any condition that may have an effect on their booking. Exhibitors using third party facilities automatically agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of The Business growth Show and the third party organisation. The Business Growth Show cannot be held responsible for claims for injury or loss, unless caused by the negligence of The Business Growth Show staff. This is why The Business Growth Show ask all participants to be fully and adequately insured and only use the most reputable suppliers, who comply with all standards and regulations and who themselves have proper insurance.
Conduct:
It is within the right of the venue to refuse entry to any attendee due to poor conduct. This can include drunkenness, abusive language or threatening behavior. If the client’s behavior or that of any participant is likely in the opinion of The Business Growth Show, or that of the third party organisers, to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to any other member of the public, The Business Growth Show reserve the right to terminate the client’s booking from that point without notice and the client will not be liable to receive any form of refund, compensation or other payment. Any damage caused by any of The Business Growth Show participants will be charged directly to the person who made the booking with The Business Growth Show. This will include any intentional damage or damage arising from unreasonable behavior to suppliers' equipment, furnishings and public areas within the venue. The venue has the right to refuse ongoing services or entry onto their premises to any individual whose behavior is in their sole opinion inappropriate. The Business Growth Show cannot accept liability for the behavior of others attending the same venue, or if any event is cancelled due to the actions of another party. Breach of any Laws could lead to prosecution and is not tolerated by any member of The Business Growth Show.
Complaints:
Any complaints should be directed to a member of the Business Growth Show in the first instance. If this is not possible then the client should contact The Business Growth Show in writing within 7 days of the date of the event via email or post, so that The Business Growth Show has an opportunity to investigate / rectify the problem. Should the problem be related to the venue, details should be passed immediately to The Business Growth Show via telephone. If the client continues to be dissatisfied and wishes to complain formally, this should be done in writing and sent to the Business Growth Show’s head office via post. As long as the above conditions have been observed, the matter will be investigated and a reply will be sent to the client within 4 weeks of receipt of the complaint. If compensation is deemed to be appropriate by the company this will be limited only to the cost of the particular element of the package where the problem has arisen. Compensation arrangements do not apply to circumstances beyond the control of The Business Growth Show.
