Corkscrew Events like to be as hands on as possible when it comes to managing our events, so if you have been to The Business Growth Show you are sure to have met some of our team. We like to keep you up to date with our news so that you have something to tease them about when you see them next!
New financial year, new office!
The start of a new financial year is a good enough excuse for a spring clean… we didn’t like the thought of that so we moved offices instead! We are now in a lovely, open-plan, clean and bright office that is located across the courtyard from our old offices! We will now be better equipped to run like a well-oiled machine, opening up communication lines between the Sales and Marketing teams.
Elise Simpson, Operations Manager
Elise is memorable for her grin, cheery voice and professionalism, some of you may even have had the privilege of attending one of her Speed Networking sessions. More importantly she is one of our longest running employees and has long deserved a promotion! Elise is now Operations Manager for Corkscrew Events, managing the sales and accounts teams and responsible for our operations.
All change!
Corkscrew Events are proud to offer a placement scheme for students looking for work experience in event management. It is that time of year where we have had to say good bye and make way for some fresh faces. Jenny Baraczewski was the first student to be accepted to our placement scheme and sadly her year with us has come to an end. She will be returning to Northampton University in September, but in the mean time she is spending her summer in San Francisco (which we are all bitterly jealous about!). In her place, we have welcomed Alison Tilley (Sheffield Hallam) and Suzie Parkins (Birmingham University) to the marketing and events team, whom despite only having been with us for a month have already made their mark and we look forward to seeing more of what they can do with such great potential.
Welcoming Reshma!
It was about time that someone attempted to get Mark organised… cue Reshma! Reshma has joined the team in a support role to help get the team organised. In her free time, Reshma ‘enjoys shopping as every girls does’ but her background is in project and development work in drug and alcohol abuse, and domestic violence for women in the Aston area. This has given her more than enough strength and tact to handle the Mark!
